Syntrillium later released Cool Edit Pro, which added the capability to work with multiple tracks as well as other features. The full version was useful and flexible, particularly for its time. When downloading the Microsoft Media Feature Pack from the Windows site, it tells me that this file is no longer available.
Windows updates are made as well as audio drivers. I had no problem with the 2017 PP CC version and my environment and hardware did not change.
My rushes are read without problem with Windows Media Player. Windows 8.1 or later, install Microsoft Media Feature Pack and re-import your file. When you open Première Pro, the software displays the following message: "The audio in this file requires the Dolby audio decoder that is not available on your operating system. After migrating to Adobe Premier Pro CC 2018, the audio from my HD rushes are no longer active.
